ALL ABGH trips are ALL – INCLUSIVE and FULLY GUIDED. This is something that sets us apart from the other outfits in Alaska. You will notice that what isn’t included is a typical Alaskan hunt such as license, tags, charter flights, shipping meat and trophies to ANC. It is all included in one of our hunts. Almost all our hunts are combo hunts also, meaning a client will have a tag for multiple species while on their trip. Please visit the hunts respective page for the most detailed information on that specific trip.

UNIT 17 – Bristol Bay
We conduct most of our operations in southwestern Alaska, in Unit 17. Famous for its salmon runs and the largest state park in the USA – Wood-Tikchik State Park, and high populations of game, this unit boasts some of the most classic, pristine, and wild country in all of Alaska. Over 350 air miles away from Anchorage and accessible only by small bush planes, a hunt out here is truly the pinnacle of an Alaskan adventure. All these hunts are based out of Dillingham, AK and it is here that a client will make their travel arrangements to and from.
SPRING BROWN BEAR/BLACK BEAR
Spring Brown Bear Combo hunts are based on snowmachine. We can accommodate 1 on 1 or 2 on 1 trips for this hunt. This trip is 10 hunting days, with 3 spots available to choose from April 1 – 30. This hunt is without a doubt one of the most fun trips that Alaska has to offer. This is our only hunt in this unit that we will have lodging accommodation in the village of Dillingham. It’s from here that we will leave each morning to head into the wilderness on snowmachines and search of bears, tracks, and dens to hunt. Alaska is just beginning to wake up from her long winters nap. The days are long, beginning to warm up, and the bears are on the move searching for a mate and food. Without a doubt one of the guides’ most favorite hunts to do. This trip is a very physical trip and a client needs to be in good shape to ride a snowmachine properly and even do short stalk on snowshoes to finish the distance on a bear.
We also offer Spring Baited Bear Hunts!
FALL BEAR/MOOSE COMBOS
Fall Combos hunts are without a doubt the premier trip we offer. A client is in a very comfortable spike camp with their own 8×8 tent, heat, cot, and real food. We only take 5 hunters total per year! Our average moose is 64” and our success rate is well over 90%. Only taking a limited number of clients, a year allows us to be consistent and harvest large, quality bulls. We call this “greatest 11 days of the year.” Moose are just coming into their rut stages during this trip and we use a method of calling and spot and stalk hunting to harvest them. This hunt is not the most physically challenging and we have had clients over 80 years old successfully harvest their moose and bear.
